Tasks
A task in Vio always remembers where it came from. That is what sets it apart from a line in an ordinary to-do list: from a task you can go back to the original note, its files and the conversation.
Task fields
- Title and description - the description can be the whole note text.
- Due date and time, which the reminder later uses.
- Priority - to separate «today» from «some day».
- Status: to do, in progress, done.
- Source - the note the task grew from.
Board and lists
Tasks can be viewed as a list or as a board by status. The board helps when there is a lot going on and you need to see what is stuck in progress. The list helps when deadlines matter more.
Task deadlines are visible in the calendar next to meetings, not in a separate app. So «busy until Friday» is obvious immediately rather than after cross-checking two lists.
How a task appears from text
- Write the thought as is: «call with Sergey on Thursday at 15:00, prepare the estimate».
- Press «To task (AI)» - Vio pulls the action itself and the deadline out of the phrase.
- Check the fields: the AI filled in the date and attendees, but the final word is yours.
- Save it - the reminder is set automatically.
The «To task» button without the AI mark always works, on any plan: it simply carries the text over without parsing anything.
